Assam Engineering College, Guwahati, established in 1955, is the first undergraduate engineering college of North Eastern India. The Alumni of this premier Institution are working not only in Assam but also serving at various positions across the globe.

Assam Engineering college Alumni Association was established in 1997 with the basic objective to encourage all the alumni of Assam Engineering College, Guwahati for active participation in the activities and progress of the ‘Alma Mater’.The jurisdiction of the Central body is all over India and abroad. The principal of the college is the president of the Association. All alumni of Assam Engineering College are eligible for life membership of the association. The present strength of the Association is around 2200.
